TRUMPETER: 1/32 Ju-87B-2 Stuka

The Ju 87 B series was to be the first mass-produced variant. A total of six pre-production Ju 87 B-0 were produced, built from Ju 87 A airframes. Test flights began from the summer of 1937. A small number, at least three, served as conversion Cs or Es for potential naval variants. The first production version was the Ju 87 B-1, with a considerably larger engine, its Junkers Jumo 211D generating 1,184 hp, and completely redesigned fuselage and landing gear. This new design was again tested in Spain, and after proving its abilities there, production was ramped up to 60 per month. As a result, by the outbreak of World War II, the Luftwaffe had 336 Ju 87 B-1s on hand. The B-1 was also fitted with "Jericho trumpets", essentially propeller-driven sirens with a diameter of 0.7 m (2.3 ft) mounted on the wing's leading edge directly forward of the landing gear, or on the front edge of the fixed main gear fairing. This was used to weaken enemy morale and enhance the intimidation of dive-bombing. After the enemy became used to it, however, they were withdrawn. The devices caused a loss of some 20-25 km/h (10-20 mph) through drag. Instead, some bombs were fitted with whistles on the fin to produce the noise after release.

TRUMPETER: 1/32 Me Bf 109E-4 Trop

The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was a German World War II fighter aircraft designed by Willy Messerschmitt in the early 1930s. It was one of the first true modern fighters of the era, including such features as an all-metal monocoque construction, a closed canopy, and retractable landing gear. Having gone through its baptism of fire in the Spanish Civil War, the Bf 109 was still in service at the dawn of the jet age at the end of World War II, during which it was the backbone of the German Luftwaffe fighter force. The E-4 saw the engine mounted cannon finally abandoned. The wing mounted cannons were upgraded to the MG FF/M, which gave a higher rate of fire. The cockpit canopy was also modified. It first appeared in July 1940, and played a significant role in the Battle of Britain. German figures for fighter losses show 249 E-1s, 32 E-3s and 344 E-4s lost in the second half of 1940. It would have been relatively easy to upgrade a 109E-3 to the E-4 specifications, and this is what may have happened to many of the older fighter.

TRUMPETER: 1/32 F-14A Tomcat

The Grumman F-14 Tomcat is a supersonic, twin-engine, two-seat, variable-sweep wing aircraft. It first flew on 21 December 1970. The F-14 was the United States Navy's primary maritime air superiority fighter, fleet defense interceptor and tactical reconnaissance platform from 1974 to 2006. It later performed precision strike missions once it was integrated with the Low Altitude Navigation and Targeting Infrared for Night LANTIRN system. The F-14 was developed after the collapse of the F-111B project, and was the first of the American teen-series fighters which were designed incorporating the experience of air combat against MiGs during the Vietnam War. The F-14 first deployed in 1974 with the U.S. Navy aboard USS Enterprise, replacing the F-4 Phantom II? The first 12 F-14As were prototype (sometimes called YF-14As). Modifications late in its service life added precision strike munitions to its armament. The US Navy received 478 F-14A aircraft and 79 were received by Iran. The final 102 F-14As were delivered with improved TF30-P-414A engines. Additionally, an 80th F-14A was manufactured for Iran, but was delivered to the US Navy.

TRUMPETER: 1/32 FA-18F Super Hornet

The F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is a larger and more advanced variant of the F/A-18C/D Hornet. An early version was marketed by McDonnell Douglas as Hornet 2000 in the 1980s. The Hornet 2000 concept was an advanced version of the F/A-18 with a larger wing, longer fuselage to carry more fuel and more powerful engines. The F/A-18E/F fuselage was stretched by 860 mm to make room for fuel and future avionics upgrades and increased the wing area by 25%. However, the Super Hornet has 42% fewer structural parts than the original Hornet design. The General Electric F414 engine, developed from the Hornet's F404, has 35% more power. The Super Hornet can return to an aircraft carrier with a larger load of unspent fuel and munitions than the original Hornet. The term for this ability is known as "bringback". Bringback for the Super Hornet is in excess of 9,000 pounds (4,100 kg). The Super Hornet first flew in 1995. Full-rate production began in September 1997. The Super Hornet entered service with the United States Navy in 1999, replacing the F-14 Tomcat since 2006.

TRUMPETER: 1/32 Vought F4U Corsair

Introduce: The Chance-Vought F4U Corsair was one of the most successful fighters of WWII. It was in production longer than any other US fighter in World War II (1942-1952) with 12,571 built, some of which remained in service as late as 1965.The F4U-4 is a version 2.01 addition to War birds. This Corsair saw service in the final stages of the Pacific War. The F4U-4 Corsair used the Pratt & Whitney R2800-18W, later upgraded to the R2800-42W. This engine required more air, creating the need to re-design the nose with the distinctive chin intake. The exhaust system was also re-designed with exhaust outlets both above and below the wings. The other major change was a complete re-design of the cockpit, making it more ergonomic. This included a new cockpit floor, new consoles, re-designed instrument panel, and a simplified seat which consisted of a bucket-type base and a flat armored plate for a back rest. The F4U-4 first saw combat at the battle for Okinawa in 1945. The F4u-4 also participated in combat in Korea. It was the fastest, best dogfighter of the series. The Corsair was definitely the longest-lived of the Navy fighters of WWII, its last combat sortie being in 1971 with El Salvador, and the F4U-4 was considered the 'ultimate' Corsair.ParamentItem No 02222Item Name Vought F4U-4 CorsairBar Code n/aScale 1:32Item Type Static AircraftModel Brief Length: 321mm Wingspan: 390mmTotal Parts 350pcsMetal Parts Aileron & Flap shaftPhoto Etched Parts HingesFilm Parts Instrument partResin Parts n/aTotal Sprues 10pcs + 3pcs rubber tires +cowlingPaint Schemes F4U-4 white 13/BuNo 80879 of Capt Kenneth A Walsh, VMF-222,Okinawa, June 1945

TRUMPETER: 1/24 Messerschmitt Bf109 G-2

Product infos: Product Id 02406 Pub Date Size 1?24 Introduce: During the spring and summer of 1942 the assembly lines began to switch to the production of the Bf 109 G-series. With the introduction of the Bf 109 G-series the constant operational demands for increased fire power and additional equipment brought with them a serious deterioration in the fighter's flying characteristics. The most important change denoted by the introduction of the Bf 109 G was the installation of the more powerful Daimler Benz DB 605 A engine in which the cylinder block had been re-designed to obtain the maximum possible bore with the existing cylinder centers.Bf109 G-2 was produced in parallel with the Bf109 G-1, and differed in lacking the pressure cabin and GM-1 nitrous oxide boost. It was used primarily in the fighter reconnaissance role, and the service test group at Guyana court, France, experimented with a ventral gun pack in which two rear-firing MG 17 machine guns were fitted (Schraege Musik). The Bf-109G-2 was built in substantially larger numbers than the Bf-109G-1, and was produced in a wide range of modifications. Bf 109 G-2 fitted with an older type ETC 500 IX b bomb rack for 250 or 500 kg bomb. The tail wheel is not retractable due to a larger tyre (350 x 135) and there is no locking device, either. The head armour plate has been moved backwards to the rear line of canopy's swinging part. The tailplane and fin have no cast leading edges any more. The cooling air intakes for sparking plugs and deeper cooler under the nose are also new. Oil cooler is a bit deeper than in F-1/2 and early F-4. Scala 1:48prodotto da assemblare e da dipingere. Colori e colla non forniti. The S.M.79 was the most successful Italian multi-role medium bomber of World War II. Developed from a civil airliner, the first Sparvieros entered service with the Regia Aeronautica in late 1936, just in time to fly combat over Spain with the Aviacion Legionaria, the Italian contingent fighting in support of the Nationalists. Its performance drew favourable comments from both sides, leading to a succession of export orders. An effective torpedo bomber as well, the S.M.79 served the air forces of Brazil, Iraq, Yugoslavia, Romania and Spain, some right up to the end of the war. The Romanians flew them on the Russian front from 1941 to 1944, an unprecedented record for an aircraft designed in the early 1930s.Though known as a tri-motor, several versions were built as twin-engined aircraft using a number of different powerplants, including Junkers Jumo 211D 1,220 hp inlines. Regardless of the version, its handling pleased most pilots and its ability to come home with extensive damage endeared it even more. Used throughout North Africa and the Mediterranean until the Italian surrender in September 1943, the Sparviero remained flying with both the Italian forces fighting alongside the Allies and the surviving pro-Nazi units.
